1. General Information

GoCar Crete acts as an intermediary platform connecting users with local car rental companies in Crete. All bookings are managed directly by our verified partners, each operating under their own rental policies and insurance conditions.

2. Booking Process

All bookings made through GoCar Crete are subject to availability and confirmation by the rental provider.
When booking, you must provide accurate personal and contact information.
You will receive a confirmation email containing your rental details and contact information of the local provider.

3. Payment

Many rentals are available with No Deposit and No Credit Card options.
Payment methods may include debit card, credit card, or cash at pickup, depending on the provider’s terms.
All prices displayed include basic insurance and taxes unless otherwise stated.

4. Driver Requirements

Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license for at least one year.
The minimum driver age is generally 21 years, but it may vary by provider.
International Driving Permits (IDP) may be required for non-EU license holders.

5. Vehicle Pickup and Return

Vehicles can be collected and returned at airports or city locations across Crete (Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Agios Nikolaos, etc.).
Please bring your driving license, passport or ID, and booking confirmation when collecting the vehicle.
Late returns may result in additional charges as per the provider’s policy.

6. Insurance and Coverage

All vehicles include basic insurance coverage. Optional full insurance or additional protection packages may be available at the time of booking or pickup. We recommend reviewing your rental agreement carefully before signing.

7. Modifications and Cancellations

Free cancellation is available for most bookings if done at least 24 hours before pickup.
Any changes to reservations (dates, vehicle type, location) depend on the provider’s availability and may affect the price.

8. Liability

GoCar Crete is not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising between the customer and the rental company. All contractual obligations exist directly between the renter and the local provider. However, we monitor all partners to ensure transparency, reliability, and high service standards.
